About FlatX
FlatX was founded in 2025 in Bengaluru with one goal: make renting in India fairer. In most Indian cities, tenants pay a broker 1–2 months' rent just to view a flat. We built FlatX to change that — connecting tenants directly with landlords and existing tenants, cutting the broker out entirely.
Why We Built This
The Indian rental market has a structural problem. Brokers sit between landlords and tenants, charging both sides without adding real value. A young professional moving to Bengaluru for a ₹25,000/month flat pays ₹25,000–₹50,000 in brokerage before they've even unpacked.
FlatX gives landlords a direct channel to serious tenants, and gives tenants access to verified listings without the broker tax. Beyond flats, we built India's most detailed flatmate matching system — because finding the right flatmate is just as hard as finding the right flat.
